Helper Tool to figure out registers RFM69
« on: July 15, 2015, 12:36:07 PM »
Hello folks!,

I've discovered a tool from Semtech that comes with the eval board of SX1231.
http://www.semtech.com/images/datasheet/sx1231starter-kit-setup.exe
This tool comes with menus and options greyed out if there is no device connected. BUT if you press CTRL + ALT + N the menues activate successfully!

I think this tool will help others to tune or figure out RFM69 registers. Beware, these are not the same radios but since hoperf RFM69HW is based on Semtech SX1231 probably will work, a quick look to the software reveals that the registers and values are the same for both radios.

Hope is useful, just my 2 cents here..

Felix

Thanks for sharing, the tool should work the same since the RFM69 radios are all SX1231 based and the SPI pins of the chips are directly connected to the output of the RFM69 PCBs.

Update!

The HopeRf tool http://www.hoperf.com/upload/rf/RFM65-69-69H_Tool_Kit.zip does also the CTRL + ALT + N trick.
