Post by: Saxx on January 12, 2015, 02:02:43 PM
Hi folks

I thougt you might be interested in my latest project, a Moteino multisensor with (or without) display. You can read all about it on my site.  ;D

Very nice. I see you only use 2XAA, it might work just fine for a while, but the MCP1703 regulator would ideally expect at least 3.55V. Just saying...

Thanks Felix. I have been running prototypes with only 3V for at least 3 months straight, and I have connected it to the 3.3v pin.

Right, that is the "correct" way, although not endorsed, through "3.3" pin which bypasses the regulator.

I wish hardware and battery manufacturers could cooperate...  ;)

Yeah, it would be nice for batteries to be 2V, then 2X would be 4V :)
LiPos are the alternative but I am finding they are not taking very cold temps very well.
