Title: RFM69 Library Question sendWithRetry
Post by: chalupien on April 09, 2014, 01:44:23 PM
Looks like I load up a fresh example Gateway and Node and it works except the sendWithRetry command always returns false. Every time. Even if I increase the waiting time to receive an ACK. What is happening? The Gateway sends an ACK. But the Node never responds, just keeps sending new packets...

It's because it never returns true:

      if (ACKReceived(toAddress))
      {
        return true;
      }

So something else is wrong, check everything again, settings, frequency etc.

I reloaded the latest library and uncommented the library where it tells me how long the ACK took. Looks like its working better... If I change the bit rate, this starts to fail.

Should I be waiting longer than 20ms for an ACK if I lower the bit rate?

If you lower the bitrate you have to change more than 1 register, and you may have to wait more for longer messages.
