Hi:

I tried to install the Moteino and MoteinoMega boards following the tutorial. Basically I copied the files and appended the boards.txt.

When I open Arduino, the boards are there, but compiling the Node and Gateway examples (for both boards), I get this error:

Arduino: 1.6.10 (Windows 7), Board: "Moteino"

Property line '?# See: http://code.google.com/p/arduino/wiki/Platforms'; in file C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware\arduino\avr\boards.txt is invalid

Error compiling for board Moteino.

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

Any idea what could be wrong? U'm using Arduino 1.6.10

Thanks
Gus

It seems I screwed up when appending the boards.txt from Moteino to the Arduino boards.txt file....

I'm not sure how because I just opened both files with Notepad and copy and paste the content to the end of the file... May be I left some spaces?

Did someone experiment this?

It seems the procedure in the online tutorial is for older version of Arduino.

I just copied the whole Moteino folder (and I didn't have to append info in the boards.txt) as the downloaded Readme.txt instructs, and now everything is Ok.

Just in case someone else runs into same problems.

Thanks for sharing and posting the solution.
Yikes there's already a 1.6.10 IDE!
