I've just found a project, which seems very similar to a Moteino but it accepts AA batteries... there's a video showing it running at 0.8V:

Anyway, I would like to know if this board will be able to talk with a Moteino? The page says it uses a RFM69, so I assume it would be able to talk, correct?
Thanks
Nice, looks like a Moteino clone, with the same flash chip, and a booster instead of a regulator which allows the single AA operation (actually they got a LDO when powered from USB or FTDI also).
Also: 16Mhz real Crystal - *not the unreliable ceramic resonator*. Sold!
I can't help but wonder why they put a single SMD device - a uUSB on the BOTTOM of the board. Assembling that in a PNP will cost a bunch.
Its got a RFM69 so it should talk to any Moteino with RFM69.
This is what they mention:
QuoteAs standard, this board comes with a RFM69 Sub-GHz RF module, giving you wireless connectivity out of the box! You'll be able to talk with other Whisper Nodes or compatible boards like Moteino or Anarduino Miniwireless!
Finally each board also counts with a 4MBit SPI Flash attached to it, giving you plenty of storage, including the option for remote firmware upgrade over-the-air.
Although by now it's obvious the 4mbit is not the flagship method of doing OTA :) But .. certainly a dead giveaway: my estimate is they use my RFM69 library and WP libs for OTA/WP.
Thanks for that Felix, I missed that bit.
