Hi everybody,

We are working on a project with moteino.

At the beginning we were working with arduino uno and grove shield (http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove_-_Base_Shield)
it's very helpful because in my project I need to plug a lot of sensor or other things like ledstrips or buzzer.

Now i work with moteino and it's complicated to plug all this sensors because i only have one GND pin and one 3,3V pin, and no 5V pin.

So i thinking buy a powershield to use 5V but do you think i can use connectors on the powershield ? I don't even know what connectors are the best, do ou have some ideas ? i'm looking for a tiny connectors and the wire with it.

Sorry for my english ;)

Hope you will help me :) feel free to ask some others details about our project (here a link of the project http://professeurs.esiea.fr/leroux/?2014/10/10/103-dmarrage-du-projet-qflower-20-q-de-pierre-estve)

thanks

Felix

Hi lcsbngg, welcome to the forum,
So are you just trying to get more 5V and GND pins?
What is your input voltage to the Moteino? Is it 5V or something else?

lcsbngg

thanks :)

yes i want to have more 5V and GND pins and put some connectors to make my project plug and play for the persons who gonna used it all day.

My input voltage during the developement period is my usb port so i think 5V and after (at the end of the project) it's gonna be what i want ( i have to decided which adaptator sector)

So why complicate with a PowerShield?
It can only provide up to 400mA of power anyway, you may have many sensors/peripherals that require more (assuming your USB input can provide more than the 500mA from a computer port).
Why not just break out your input 5V into multiple taps, and same for GND?
