M0 add on blank board eagle files
« on: July 08, 2018, 05:03:27 AM »
Hi @felix

Is it possible to (githib) share blank eagle layouts for various sized add on boards with those headers in the right place and makred up?

Sure, you mean all possible combinations?
How about shared at OSHPark?
Or did you need the Eagle files to put your own circuit on them?

Ok sorry for the delay, I will just share a RFM69HCW breakout that fits all the pins that are available for breakouts (includes SPI & I2C pins).
You can remove the components and resize the board if you want it smaller.

Felix,

I am designing a Ublox CAM-M8 GNS breakout board.  As it needs 20ma+ I am adding another regulator with an enable pin to save power and power it down, this means accessing VIN.

Any chance of a 8 pin breakout?  I want to access both VIN and Serial PB22/23 TX/RX which from top to bottom is 8 pins not 7.

Or how do I make these?  I see your headers seem to be a custom part "HDR_7PINHH (HDR_7PIN)" and "1X07_NS_THINRINGS_HH"

How about this:

You can drag that dimension outline a little upwards, add 2 VIAS with the same diameter at 0.1" distance apart. Super easy.

The elongations are only there for the castellations.
If you want that then just add another 2 vias with the same diameter and elongated pads.
Pretty straight forward.

Make them the same as the existing ones, you can measure them.
You can always also export a BRD file to a library and then you have all the components in that library, and you can modify them etc. You dont need the ORIGINAL library used to build that BRD.

Anyway here are the dimensions of such a via:
Make sure to add the STOP.
