Maybe faulty radio(s) but that would be a long shot. Again, can't really put a diagnosis until I can see this happen and try to debug myself.

Thanks a lot. I read through your post and it has a lot of possibilities. It makes sense it would be some obscure firmware issue. I have tried so many different pieces of relatively simple  Moteino/Weathershield hardware and they all couldn't be broken.

I will try your suggestions and let you know how it turns out. I would love to have a solution to this problem I have been battling for months.
