Any good leads on where to get tiny project boxes that closely fit the Moteino size?  I checked Felix's store but didn't see any.

$1 solar garden lights aren't bad containers (and you get a "free" solar cell as part of the bargain whether you want it or not), but they're  still bigger than needed, and I would prefer something as small as possible, which would be rectangular.  I realize battery size figures into this, but it's a chicken-and-egg problem, and I have flexibility regarding battery choice.

I suppose this one might be near  the ballpark, though it's square rather than rectangular:  http://www.aliexpress.com/item/PP-transparent-plastic-small-cartridge-storage-box-has-a-lid-small-accessories-finishing-box-wholesale/32405640487.html?spm=2114.13010208.99999999.264.4DlWjj

Just 45 cents with free delivery, though at the added price of a long wait from China.  It has no standoffs, but then the Moteino has no mounting holes either.  I suppose you could outfit it with tabbed batteries of some kind and then, for outdoor use, you could embed the contents in clear epoxy to moistureproof it.

For an indoor application, if there were a battery holder case for two AA cells but with a little extra headroom in it to fit a monteino....

Anyhow, just what are people here actually using to enclose their Moteino?  I've looked at some of the project photos, but it seems like onlyl rarely are enclosures being used.  Of those, mose are using large project boxes relative to the moteino size.   Of course, some people are 3D printing their enclosures, but I'd prefer to go with something ready made.

I use lasercut acrylic boxes. Similar to the MotionMote box. The tabs interlock tightly without a real need to glue it together. Tape can be added for extra weather proofing although that would not be a perfect solution. But I like these boxes since I can make my own any time and they don't look bad at all.
