Title: RF messenger
Post by: waraytek on April 03, 2017, 08:29:28 AM
Hello everyone, I did a little application that will allow writing short text via android app and then send it to a specific node.
I know that the RFM69HCW can only send small bytes but tested it anyway. During the process we experienced delay/collisions of messages. Probably next month if I have the time I will try to improve it. Probably my question is how can I make the short messages get to the receiver without getting lost when collision occur. Right know I'm using a short wire for antenna for the RFs.

Harware used for each node
1. ESP8266
2. RFM69HCW
3. Power bank
4. I2c Oled
5. Arduino Nano

I think I'll be using moteino for my next attempt.

regards,
waraytek

Very broad and open ended question. Very many possible issues involved. Why doesn't something work the way you'd want it....

If you would fully describe your project and show the firmware then maybe we could start hypothesizing but ... you are probably better off starting with hardware and lib/software that is proven to work.

Hi Felix, my apology for the confusion and thank you for the response...I will follow your suggestion to have a review on the hardware and codes and ask later when I get stuck.
