I'm still waiting for the RFM69 breakouts. The RFM12s where running 9 hours without problems.
But good to know I'm not the only one with some problems.

QuoteI confirm this issue on 1.6.8 as well. Tried several chips, same COM port being busy error. Have to try several times till it goes through. Went back to 1.6.7 and works fine now (not that it's perfect, but oh well)

I can confirm this on a Mac as well.  Rolled back and it started working.

I am running IDE 1.6.9 on OSX 10.10.5 and I am NOT seeing these com port issues via the adaptor nor to my R5 USBs.

if you are looking for breakouts, a fellow lowpowerlab member made this:
https://github.com/uChip/Moteino_Peripherals_Half-Shield
I have a few and they work great.
there is also this:

Sorry for not answering so long. I received the PCBs today - it really took 3 Month from Australia to Germany (Airmail).
The seller already did refund the money cause we thought it will never arrive.

@TrendSetter,
i saw the OSH Park PCBs but since ordering was not straight forward i did not order there.
The ones from JeeLabs are only for 69C (not 69H/W).
