Sound coming from Raspberry Pi
« on: March 19, 2017, 11:00:44 AM »
When I power my raspi from the ATX, I get background noise from the headphone jack.  Since my project converts the analog signals to digital and runs servos based upon the conversion, this causes havoc with my servos.

Any suggestions?

And it doesn't do that when you power your Pi with the same supply but without the ATXRaspi in between?

No it does not.  I've tried it with a few different power supplies as well.  Same result.

Well that's a first!

What kind of wires are you using? Any chance you could try beefy short wiring if not already? Possibly soldered rather than jumpered?
A photo of the setup?

I'm using jumpers.  I'll try to switch to beefier, shorter wires and solder them in place to see if that makes a difference.

It will be a couple of days before I can get back to this project.  Prepping for a triathlon on Saturday :)

I'm interested to find out where that noise is coming from, I'd like to help in whatever way. Let me know what you find.
