Title: ATX RasPi shutdown issue with NES Nintendo [SOLVED]
Post by: Skywalker32381 on January 08, 2017, 07:05:51 PM
I wired the board as shown in plans. With the 10k resistor and the 1k resistor,  I followed the instructions for installing the bash script. Everything seemed to download successfully, but when I go to push the "power" button off the Rpi resets and comes back on with the latching switch in the off position. If I then push the power button back in and then to off the Raspi then sends the signal to gpio 7 to begin shutdown. The reset button works fine. I went through everything I did multiple times and still end up at the same spot.

You should have a "GOLD" dot on the micro to indicate this is 2.7, otherwise you got 2.6 and this won't work on that version.
You should see 2 RED blinks on the ATXRaspi in this mode when you apply power to it, that's how you know it's in LATCHING mode.
Pictures would help to verify everything is as expected.

It does have the gold dot. And yes when I put power to it, there are two fast red blinks

Ok in that case it should work. Can we see a closeup photo of your wiring with the Pi booted up?

Resolved, probably loose wiring, the setup works as expected.

Josh - if you could provide the details that would be great.

Thanks!

Checked the wiring, everything is sound. By holding down the power button for an extra second, the Raspi works flawlessly. Thank you for your help Felix.
